Hey There!
I’m so glad you’re here! I’m just a gal with the perfect dog trying to navigate my life, and answer some big questions while living in the big city!
I believe that life is a constellation of serendipitous moments that have brought me here, so I might as well enjoy the ride!
I’m looking forward to sharing my journey with you!
XOXO,
Kathy ❤

Ruff Ruff!
I’m Scruffles and I took over mom’s heart in June of 2018. I don’t know what she’d do without me! Mom tells me that I’m the “best boy” and I’m really good at making strangers smile, getting belly rubs, and giving paw! 🐾
Welcome!
I have been wanting to write for a very long time. Well, I wanted to be many things. An astronaut, secretary, lawyer, movie star, Mother Theresa, the next Barbara Walters, the first person to find the cure for cancer, negotiator of world peace, and so on. As a child, I wanted to be everything. I now realize that it’s very difficult to not lose socks in the laundry, and that automatic bill pay is the only reason I have any chance of keeping my electricity on. It’s safe to say that I will not be the next Margaret Thatcher, Queen Elizabeth, Marie Curie, Ruth Bader Ginsburg, or Barbara Walters.
Lately, I’ve been feeling that maybe it’s time I start trying to figure out who I actually am and what it is I’m supposed to be doing with my life. I’m on this journey to finding me, and I am incredibly grateful for the fact that I am alive in a time where I can spill my thoughts (like I do my coffee) and pretend I’m an author.
I have always written best with a deadline of tomorrow, and a glass of wine.
I have never written for the sake of writing. The thoughts in my head consisted of top tracks including “Why Waste Your Time,” as well as “You Really Could be Doing Something More Productive with Yourself,” and my all time number one hit “You Know, You’re Not Even Any Good at Writing!”
After reflecting on my past year and setting intentions for the upcoming year, I realized that I so fervently believe in other’s abilities, I should believe in mine too. So here we are! I’m looking forward to taking the plunge and finally doing something I’ve always wanted to! Wish me luck!
Cheers to our past, present and future serendipities! 🥂
